I am a civil servant myself and can laugh at myself and my kind. However, that is rare in the teaching profession. It exists there too, but less often than in the administrative sector. The most humorless are often those in uniform.

Well, I can laugh a lot with my uniformed colleagues about the cop worldview [emoji12]
Okay, sometimes not [emoji6]
But there are many who laugh about themselves privately.

You just shouldn’t take life so seriously all the time. Then you are much more open to advice and actual realism. Sarcasm helps a lot there [emoji4]

...why exactly again?

From what salary/saving rate is it allowed to ask? And almost just as interesting: who decides that?

Questions upon questions...

Well, the question does go a bit in the direction of:

Is my Porsche GT3 enough for the acceleration lane on the highway or do I need a Bugatti Veyron for that and would be better off continuing on the country road.

But that's probably all subjective feeling ;)

The questions you raised, I do not find particularly interesting. For example, they do not arise for me at all, especially since they are also not implied in my above statement.

Let it be, I just don't see why one shouldn't be surprised by comments if you ask with the conditions. So be it...
