Build a road if it must be permanently greened?

I have been reading along here for a while. Somehow the description doesn’t make sense to me. Do you have a sketch of the whole thing?

Imagine a semi-detached house with a garage directly attached to each house. And then you place the whole thing next to it again. So there are two garages next to each other. And there should be a 2m gap between these garages.

Then why not have a gate at the front of the garage leading to the 1m wide path. The path with grass (how it grows in the niche between the garages has to be checked). The robot drives from the garden onto the path and mows it. Am I seeing this too simply?
