Just to understand. I currently assume that the rainwater flows through the pipe into the tank and from there seeps into the ground. Therefore, my idea was instead of taking a ready-made and expensive soakaway shaft to convert and use a tank.

So simply put, is it enough to have a big hole with gravel where the pipe ends to allow seepage?

Why don't you simply make an infiltration basin on the property? It can even be installed under the wooden terrace and consists only of a sufficiently sized basin, the smaller the deeper, which is lined with pebbles. It can also be planted.

We have it exactly like Domski and yes, for us that is sufficient.

Yes, as long as no specific requirements are imposed on it by the building authority. However, one of the two pits at our place is undersized; in heavy rain, water might shoot out of the dome of the upstream cistern. I have to look into that again.

You need to ensure that the water can distribute evenly in the pit and that the pipe does not clog as much as possible. For this purpose, we laid the KG pipe once through the pit and drilled several holes along its length with a hole saw. An inspection shaft for flushing directly in front of the soakaway pit is then the 100% solution.

I find the amount of 6500€ a bit high. We had the whole topic of infiltration for 150sqm of roof area done for just over 3000€. This also included the connection of the SW line. Do you even want tanks for the use of the water? Otherwise, a few simple safety boxes like we have would be enough.
