@ all,

thank you for your answers.

I think I understood:

- The contact person is the electrician

- TV/Radio wiring is independent of LAN wiring (each has separate wiring)

- LAN cable Cat 7 is better than Cat 6

- LAN double sockets are better than single sockets

Do I need double the amount of LAN cables for the LAN double sockets (one separate cable per socket), or are the double sockets connected in series like electrical double power sockets?

Regards Gotthilf

Double cables, so-called duplex Ethernet cables, are the standard for this. Everything else is outdated.

And insist on installation in empty conduits, this is according to standards but is often neglected by some old-school electricians. That way you can also change the cables later if needed.

Thank you very much, all noted.

Whereas the CAT7 sockets are still quite expensive. The question is whether you even use cat7 and if you put in Cat6 sockets, and if you really ever need/use such a fast connection, you could still swap to cat7.

Since when have there been Cat.7 sockets? That is surely a fake, RJ45 has contact pitch that is too small for Cat.7.

What is "so fast"? Cat.6 can do up to 10GBit, the appropriate hardware for that hardly any private person can afford. 1GBit should really be enough and that is easily possible with standard Cat.6. That Cat.7 is rather used for the installation cables has more to do with the shielding and the multitude of parallel cables in the duct.

Series connection is not possible. But the LAN cable has 8 wires, which could theoretically be split into 2x4 wires. Many contractors like to do this to save a last bit of money. It works, but limits the usable speed to 100MBit instead of 1GBit and is therefore not recommended.
