Good evening everyone!

Our interior plaster has been drying for about 2 weeks and relatively soon after that, these light lines formed. (See photos) Diagonal at all corners and around all windows, but also on walls without windows, where they are more horizontal. So actually, every plastered wall now has these lines. So far they are only lines, no cracks. I assume these will turn into cracks at some point, or does that not necessarily have to be the case? Is this all due to missing mesh angles?

Have a nice evening everyone and thank you for your answers!

I suppose that is normal with the horizontal lines. The wall beneath the plaster probably has joints, and the plaster dries faster there, which makes it look lighter.

Yes, with the horizontal lines that is conceivable. But not with the diagonal ones. Those worry me…

That already looks strange, we've never had anything like that before (we plastered several rooms ourselves). What kind of plaster is that? How old is the house?

Hello Winniefred! The house has been under construction since August 2021. I am not sure what kind of plaster it is. The plaster substrate consists of formwork stones filled with concrete. In case that might be relevant...

To be honest, I wouldn't worry about that. Even with technically proper construction, a house of that size moves constantly by micrometers depending on location / ground / conditions. The plaster shows this first. However, this is far from situations where it is statically and structurally relevant.
