I think: how it should be. So in the bed joints yes and in the head joints no. Plan bricks indeed.

Then you probably have a better eye for it than I do :)

I naturally assume that there is also glue in the joints, from which it does not ooze out. I do not have X-ray vision. However, I use the cheap trick of being on the forum with a desktop PC, which apparently makes some images more comfortably viewable "in large" :)

Hello Payday

the excavator hit quite hard. The stones are cracked over a large area. How deep? I think it is 24.5 masonry.
so I would either insist that the stones be replaced, or have an expert confirm the safety of not replacing them.
That's my layman's opinion.
