Boxspring bed Arviksand

we are currently considering buying the box spring bed Arviksand.

Yesterday we looked at it in person at the Dortmund Ikea.

In the evening, I checked the data again via the IKEA app. Strangely, it says there that the mattress HAMARVIK is included with the box spring bed. But we would prefer a higher-quality mattress. Either the MYRBACKA or MORGONGAVA.

The box spring bed at Dortmund IKEA was equipped with the MORGONGAVA, and we found it very comfortable.

So now my question: Is there a reason why the box spring bed is only delivered with the one specified above and is it possible to upgrade to a better one (logically with a cost adjustment for the cheaper mattress)?

Or does it make sense to use a spring mattress on the box spring bed? Ikea also offers a confident-priced mattress here. But we would have to try it out first.

I wonder which idiot came up with the idea to offer only one specific combination in the online store. HAMARVIK comes in two levels of firmness and not being able to choose that - it couldn’t be more stupid. You can buy all parts individually and, for example, also choose feet of different heights. Take a look at the purchase guide.

the Hamarvik was, I believe, initially the only mattress that "visually" matched the bed because of the grey. Probably also, as the IKEA expert said, an online error that was once again forgotten to be corrected. Of course, you can put the mattresses you like on the box springs.
