We're slowly getting into the details for the terraces and the transition from the house onto them.
Block steps seem to be the common good-and-cheap solution if I see that correctly?
As an alternative, I've come across slip-resistant aluminum window sills, but I don't really know what to make of them.
Are there any significant pros and cons?
With aluminum, I imagine installation and handling might be a bit easier. Since I have window widths or balcony doors that are 2m wide. I don't think block steps come that wide, so I'd have to split them, which I don't find visually appealing.
But I'm not sure what to think about aluminum heating up under direct sunlight when walking barefoot over it.
Or should it be a natural stone window sill after all?
