Nevertheless, it is exactly right as was said: wait for the nesting season, then remove and close it. Bird nests as such are not problematic and therefore do not have to be removed now (incidentally, this is also prohibited for good reason!), but later I would want it closed so that nothing other than birds settles there later. If you can't reach it yourself, you have to hire a company.

Birds usually don't poop in their nests, no one poops in their bedroom. I mean, the problem is overrated. How exactly is it supposed to be problematic for the children!? Do they breathe it in every day? There are hardly any swallows left because they can't find nesting places under the eaves. We have an old house and two sparrow nests in similar positions, year after year. It's nice to hear the chirping in spring - and neither the house nor the kids show any signs of being harmed by it. But with a new building, I can understand it. Still, please wait until the breeding season is over!

The bird nests do not cause any damage to the house. Just leave them be. Some bird droppings are tolerable.

Find that completely normal, we also had bird nests under the roof at home, even bats settled there. Hedgehogs in the garden every year too. Wouldn't remove the nests, it's nice to have a few visitors. Can't imagine it poses any danger to children :D if they don't know that they can't eat the crap, you'll just have to tell them.... :-)))

Birds in the garden are a wonderful thing. I still hope for more variety. Where there is a bird’s nest, at least no wasps build. If too much droppings fall during the breeding season, build a board underneath. With us, the birds are not disturbed by us two-legged creatures. The jay comes right up to the balcony door, the blackbirds inspect every move in the garden to get easier access to the worms, the wrens keep the bio bin maggot-free, the tits peck ants and all in all they provide plenty of laughs. Bird droppings are no problem, the toilet is the garden fence.
