Hi,

I have received a form from BG Bau for the second time. I acknowledged the first one but ignored it. Now a second one arrived, with a reminder.
Am I legally obliged to fill it out?
We build turnkey; the 1-2 trades that the general contractor does not undertake are done by another specialist company with an invoice.
I wouldn’t mind informing them if the form weren’t so awful. Hence my questions:

- Am I obliged to send it back / provide them with information?
- If I fill it out and "acknowledge" the insurance section (last point) with my signature, I don’t automatically take out this horrendously expensive insurance, do I? I would have to apply for that separately, if I understand correctly?
- How did you fill out this table of trades? There’s about 3.5 cm of space to enter the "Name and address of the company," and that 20 times in a row. I’m not going to squeeze this entire text block 20 times vertically. I just used the abbreviation and wrote the full address once at the bottom of the page, but outside the black boxes. Since this is read mechanically, it will probably be ignored.

Who has experience with this?

Hi, yes, you have to fill that out. The general contractor is sufficient. His subcontractors are not your problem. I put that in once to the general contractor back then and then only as above. Best regards, Andreas

You are obligated (§ 192 SGB VII), but try reporting it online with "0" helpers registered and maybe they won’t ask for the business data.

(BG Bau page keyword register private construction project, linking is not allowed)

Yes, you have to fill that out. The form will come a few more times, so remember what you wrote the first time. Just write that the house is built turnkey by the [u] and the [GU] if that is the case, or just list the specialist companies in case of individual contracts, and that's fine. We've done it that way and then had no problems. Are you doing anything yourselves on the house? In short, they are only interested if someone who is not part of the family helps you; you would have to insure them separately.

What still counts as family there? Father-in-law? Or only in direct line?
