That would be an interesting case for lawyers, whether that would even be legally binding...

I'm not really familiar with the topic, but many things in liability disclaimers or in rental contracts are not effective... I could imagine that here as well.

Well, then you probably really freak out when you think about your insurances or read the banks' terms and conditions? Do you even have insurances?
We just got a patio roof... there were also several pages of terms and conditions included, also disclaimers of liability... we just thought: man, man, man, there must have been some lawsuits for the patio guy to protect himself like that.
I'll put it this way: he certainly doesn't do that just to annoy the customer.
