Bathroom renovation layout: currently separate bathroom 4.6 m² and toilet 1 m²

The toilet itself is 0.9m*1.11m in size; the bathroom with toilet would be 5.8 m² in size

Since renovations are necessary anyway, I would prefer the single-room solution and move the sink slightly closer to the entrance door to create some distance from the washing machine. The door could also open better towards the towel holder. This makes for less weaving when going to the toilet. In our bathroom, we have a sliding door as access. This proves to be quite effective as a space saver, but it is neither lockable nor does it have the same soundproofing function.
