After much back and forth, we are sticking to our idea, as in the attachment.
I asked the seller and received the following answer:
The IQ board is an 8 cm thick rigid foam block, in which a no-name channel is already firmly integrated. It is easy to install.
The shower board with the APZ shower channel is 4 cm thick, coated on both sides with fabric and special mortar, and has a cutout for the installation of the channel. This is therefore a two-part delivery. The channel with the cover is overall of higher quality and has a double siphon. This combo is installed with a mortar mix. This means, first, you have the option to change the orientation of the channel (towards the wall or the long side of the element) and you can also influence the height yourself. These boards are trade quality and are used by our commercial customers. The total installation depth here is also 8 cm.
Which element would you choose?
