Hello everyone,

I am currently planning a small bathroom. The toilet is located diagonally opposite the bathtub. There is a passage of only 32cm between the bathtub and the toilet. I find it hard to judge whether that is too little. What do you think? Is that too tight?

I have attached a floor plan.

Then another question about the second bathroom (no floor plan):

There is 20cm of space between the wall and the sink - also 20cm between the sink and the toilet and only 20cm between the toilet and the wall.

Does that seem too cramped, or do you think it would work?

Thanks for your help.

Best regards

Hanno

I think that will work, even if it might seem a bit tight. However, I can't tell you if it will still look good or if the bathroom will then appear cluttered.

well, a man could then sit in front of the urinal :D That's what women want... sitting while peeing :)

No, I think it's too tight. How many liters does the bathtub hold? Unfortunately, this factor is often forgotten when planning bathrooms. In the end, you have a 150-liter supply water tank but need 200 for a full bathtub. From the sketches, I guess it's one of those fancy new trapezoidal bathtubs. We thought about it briefly and then decided that it simply requires too much water when the little ones want to splash around :D

Otherwise, take a meter stick and look at 20 cm... I find that pretty tight. But you have to decide... no one wants to dance a waltz in the bathroom. But especially if you have several people who need to use the bathroom simultaneously in the morning, I would also consider space.

I personally find it a bit too tight. In view of the demographic change and the rollator flood in this country, accessibility is an important point that should not be forgotten. With a standard tub, the whole bathroom looks much more spacious and in old age, there is less hassle.

Hi!

So, the concept doesn’t seem necessarily coherent to me. The double sink suggests simultaneous use by multiple people. Apart from the fact that this won’t necessarily contribute to maintaining marital romance, the room is a bit small for this. Especially at the entrance, it is likely to cause problems.

If it absolutely has to be done, one could at least move the shower and tub to the 2.70m wall (i.e., the shower in place of the tub). This might look less lively but reduces traffic areas. Or, if it should be more modern – there are tubs with integrated (round) showers.

Best regards,
TomTom.

I also fear that it will be a bit tight. If you take the hammer in your hand now, you should also make sure that in the end it is not a compromise solution.
