Hello everyone,

for whatever reason, our old post was deleted?

So I am trying again. If anything about the question is not appropriate, please give me a brief note so that I can comply accordingly.

We are currently in the execution planning phase while waiting for the building permit.

Our requirements/wishes for the bathrooms are as follows:

Parent Bathroom
Double sink (or rather we want a sink with two faucets) with vanity cabinet
Floor-level shower (at least 90x120, preferably 90x150)
Bathtub 90x190
Toilet with privacy screen
Heated towel rail

Children's Bathroom
Floor-level shower (90x90)
Toilet (if possible also with privacy screen)
Sink with vanity cabinet, ideally 90 cm wide, so that 2 kids can comfortably get ready at the same time
Heated towel rail, if there is space for it

Basically, more can be cut back in the children's bathroom than in the parent bathroom. The kids already have the majority of the space upstairs; a nice bathroom should be our luxury.

Currently, we find the bathrooms upstairs still somewhat suboptimal (see attached), but unfortunately, we have not yet come up with a better solution. The children's bathroom actually fits from our point of view, but since the two rooms are adjacent, changes to one possibly require adjustments to the other.

What we particularly miss is a privacy screen for the toilet in the parent bathroom; currently, it looks like this will not fit. Also, the space between the sink and the bathtub seems a bit narrow to me (currently only a 45 cm deep sink is drawn, and we have chosen a 90 cm wide bathtub (190 length, but this should not be an issue here)), so you cannot really pass each other comfortably there (with a 45 cm sink and 80 cm bathtub, there is 114 cm space).

Are we overthinking it and does it already fit from your point of view?

We would appreciate your feedback and tips!

Thank you very much

I had written in the old thread ... or rather asked why you are missing a privacy screen.

The washbasin with the 2 taps will be planned in a base cabinet, which is practically already the privacy screen for the WC. And, I would plan such a washstand with about 55 cm depth.

I am mainly thinking about the hand towels next to the sink/cabinet, which then hang right next to the toilet. But the base cabinet is certainly correct, it is presumably similar to a privacy panel in terms of the "sitting feeling," but I also lack the idea of where else the towels should go on the side.

How long is the wall with the WC and washbasin up to the door?

I would install the toilet where the towel radiator is now. Where it is currently planned, it is useless. You need towels 99% of the time when you come out of the shower. I would hang the radiator where I have marked it in red. You also save yourself a more complicated drainage and can use the bathtub enclosure for the toilet as well.

So -- no ... I am not a fan of privacy walls etc., I actually always find them silly, but the toilet next to the bathtub and even at the spot where you would actually like to have your head, that should be avoided under all circumstances.

But I agree, the towel radiator should rather be above the plan, to the right of the window, and the window ideally perhaps still 50 cm to the left on the plan.
