Basement insulation as a DIY project

The following item is listed in the offer for our new building:

[*]Delivery and installation of the basement exterior waterproofing, the light wells, the basement exterior insulation, and the backfill protection (dimpled membrane with fleece) by the builders themselves as a self-performed work.

Saving approx. €6000
The basement is 10x8.5m and completely underground. Raw construction dimension basement floor 2.55m, 5 light wells planned.

I would like to calculate the material costs for this, but I don’t exactly know what is needed.
Can someone help me here?

Is self-performance worth it here at all?

Do you really want to put yourself through this?

We insulated our base with perimeter insulation as a DIY project. It was only 30 cm on 10.5 x 8.5 m, but I didn't find that fun.

For the perimeter insulation, we paid about €500 including adhesive. We did not need a studded membrane.

Depending on how skilled you are with crafts, you can of course manage it. But especially for the first boards, we took quite a long time.

Have a building materials wholesaler give you an offer for how much the materials cost. You probably won't save that much.

What kind of basement do you have? In our WU basement, I don't get far with my hammer drill - installing 5 light shafts there alone would have taken me 2 days,... Do you want to just glue the insulation or also use dowels? Then you need special tools again. If your basement is leaking, you can't blame the construction company anymore,... That would be too risky for me,...
