Hello,
do you mean a basement that protrudes 50cm above the ground?
It is the same on three sides of our house – on the fourth side, we have a basement wall standing "in the open" from 50cm to 150cm.
For us, this did not cause major extra costs or save money.
For the freestanding base, we saved on the studded membrane, but we need plaster instead.
The insulation is almost the same everywhere – only the part that protrudes from the ground is insulated with white Styrodur, the part "hidden" in the ground is insulated with blue Styrodur.
