Good day!

I am facing a small challenge. Hopefully, the problem can be seen in the picture. I had to install a small step to equalize the level. Now I am wondering how to install the baseboard in this area (and I am completely stumped).

Please help,

thank you very much!

That's a door, right?

Hello!

Not a door directly. Nearby is the main entrance door.
Here is a photo from a bit further away:

Best regards

...and one more from further away...

It is just a passage from a small anteroom into another.

Best regards

Design the baseboard in the higher room slightly narrower so that there is a uniform line above the board.

simply disengage at the bottom so that it runs at the same level at the top
