That's the question, if you build a bungalow you practically still have a huge area left free with the roof pitch where we would for example place the heating, but there is still a ton of space left. Or you build a house with an elevator.
Now good advice is naturally expensive.
I would recommend planning a small single-family house with an elevator. From my point of view, it makes no sense to leave a good 100 sqm of floor space unused, nor to put the bathroom and the children in the attic. What if you are home alone and have to *quickly* go upstairs? Besides, good 30,000 EUR should separate both options; for that you can buy an elevator and have it serviced for many, many years ;)
Smaller elevators are no longer insanely expensive; corresponding maintenance contracts are also affordable. Furthermore, there are funding programs for exactly such a case; this has already been rightly pointed out here.
