Hi @ all,

we have reserved a plot of land in Lampertheim (Hessen).

It has a size of 428sqm.

Previously, there was a scrap dealer/recycling center on the site, so the city has now excavated the entire area by an estimated 1.80m.
In other words, it would first have to be filled up again by about 1.80m. The street is almost finished.

The question now is, what is cheaper for me, this filling or maybe a basement construction?

We want to build with a prefabricated house manufacturer and the house will have exterior dimensions of about 9x11m.... so about 140-150sqm living space.

Where would the costs roughly be for such a filling? Or a finished basement?

Thanks and regards
Sven

Do you want a cellar? Bringing in soil isn't that expensive... Have you ever had the ground investigated - or do you have proof that the soil is clean?

where you come from, houses without a basement aren’t real houses.

Where I come from, houses are completely unaffordable. So not the reason at least, that's why we have now reserved this plot of land in Hessen and in that [Kuhkaff]. But that has nothing to do with this topic here.

I don't think the size of the hole should influence your decision... neither is the saving towards the basement, nor the cost away from it so significant that you would build one or not because of it. I would much more be interested in whether the ground is still loaded.

Hi, I don’t know if the ground is contaminated, so if we decide to buy it, a soil expert would have to come first. And the size of the hole can influence it, as according to a few statements it can quickly cost up to 25,000€, that amount can really mess up your financing plan. Theoretically, it shouldn’t be a problem, but it also doesn’t necessarily have to be, such an amount for theoretically nothing.
