I am currently considering in which size I should order my attic ladder and am wavering between the standard 140x70 or custom dimensions 150x85. The attic is to be used exclusively as a storage area. But I think that the bigger the hatch is, the better you can get things up there. What size do you have and is that enough for you? Or is the 200-300 euro surcharge for a custom size worth it?

We also have 140x70. It is often a hassle with large boxes or similar. For 2-300€ more, I would take the bigger one.

I had also dealt with the topic and read from many that a width of 80 is significantly more comfortable than 70. Accordingly, we are also planning a width of at least 80. Whether it is "good" I might be able to report by the end of the year :)

How is it with the insulation? Is the floor hatch just as good as average [Klemmfilz]?

Upon inquiry, the energy consultant said that it is not so crucial for the calculation, as the area is so small. And I just assume that there is no huge difference between 1.30x0.60 (0.78 sqm) and 1.50x0.80 (1.20 sqm).

For the calculation maybe yes, since flat losses are deducted anyway, also for chiseled-out spots in the exterior walls for outside faucets and pipes etc. But if you actually have a thermal bridge there, you might later have an equally bigger problem. But I have no idea if such a floor pull-down staircase is much worse. So it was not a rhetorical question but a real one.
