Attic ladder/attic hatch size

So it should definitely be a thermal hatch with about 8cm thickness. So not just some chipboard from the hardware store.

I'm thinking along the lines of Dolle or Wellhöfer.

I also dealt with the topic and read out from many that a width of 80 is significantly more comfortable than 70.

We also have 140x70. It is often a struggle with large boxes or similar.

Probably something wider is really worth the money then! I will order it that way and can report back in a few months ;-)

We have a hatch from the Bauhaus measuring 140 x 70 cm. The attic is also purely a storage room. So far there have been no problems, I even once pushed a cardboard box for a normal women's trekking bike up there without any major issues.

The thermal insulation is specified as 0.36 W/m²K. So already worse than rigid foam, but I really haven't found better alternatives.
