Attic ladder/attic hatch size

So it should definitely be a thermal hatch with about 8cm thickness. So not just some chipboard from the hardware store.

I'm thinking along the lines of Dolle or Wellhöfer.

Probably something wider is really worth the money then! I will order it that way and can report back in a few months ;-)

We have a hatch from the Bauhaus measuring 140 x 70 cm. The attic is also purely a storage room. So far there have been no problems, I even once pushed a cardboard box for a normal women's trekking bike up there without any major issues.

The thermal insulation is specified as 0.36 W/m²K. So already worse than rigid foam, but I really haven't found better alternatives.
