If you do not take an expert report, you have to rely on the civil engineer, and not on laymen in the forum. If you do not want that, you get an expert report done. K.

It is just as easy as writes. As an adult and legally capable person, you are responsible for how you proceed and decide. Extra security costs --> expert opinion. Trust is cheaper. Conduct a survey here and you will find supporters for each of these options. My tip: Solve things you can solve with money with money. Things you cannot solve with money, do not solve with money either. Specifically: If you can buy yourself a good night's sleep and security, then do it. If you are fundamentally insecure and still cannot sleep well even with an expert opinion as soon as someone comments on a photo, then skip the expert opinion.

But please be aware that [Baugrund] is always a builder's risk. You can have as many people as you want prepare an expert report, ask contractors, or post photos on the internet.

You don't sound very confident right now, so have an expert report prepared, then you have done everything within your power.

Or you do a soil investigation and when excavating they still find sand.. the geologist comes to take a look and quickly earns 400 euros. It then costs you an additional 800 euros because the strip foundation is deepened from 80cm to 1.5m.
