Hello everyone,
I received a soil report from a real estate agent. Three test pits were made on the property. The following passage is included behind the respective elevation details:

- Weißjura limestone (6), coarse-grained weathered
- Weißjura limestone (6,7), compact massive reef limestone, no layering visible.

I assume the 6 and 6 and 7 are the soil classes. But what does the description behind them mean? Can it still be excavated with an excavator? Maybe someone can help?

Hello,

Soil class 6

(according to DIN 18300) Lightly soluble rock and comparable soil types are rock types that have an internal, mineral-bound cohesion but are strongly fissured, brittle, crumbly, schistose, soft, or weathered, as well as comparable consolidated non-cohesive soil types.

Soil class 7

(according to DIN 18300) Hardly soluble rock are rock types that have an internal, mineral-bound cohesion and high structural strength and are only slightly fissured or weathered. Rock-hosted, unweathered clay shale, slate layers, slag heaps from smelting works, and the like.

You will not manage with the typical ancillary construction costs of around TEUR 35, but will have to take into account considerable costs for "foundation additional costs" in your financing. An example calculation – if your plot is relatively inexpensive, you can probably accept these additional costs, but if it has a high price, you have to decide based on your wishes whether the extra effort is worth it to you.

Kind regards
