Just for the sake of completeness:
You don't seem to know much about dog ownership.
A dog is a pack animal that is in a certain way imprinted on its "pack" ([your family]).
If you pull the dog out of its familiar environment overnight and take away its most important reference persons, it will suffer from it – no matter how great or dog-friendly the new environment is – very ethical this approach.
For me, an animal is not on the same level as a human, but it also deserves respect.

If I had suggested to my girlfriend to give up our female dog to secure the financing, we would not have built.

As I said, I mean with 3000 EUR per month and a secure job, you can build and finance solidly.

Well - the thing with the pack is indeed correct, but only briefly stated. Depending on the breed, character, and role in the pack, it is very possible to place a dog happily in a foreign pack. However, this goes too far off-topic now, so EOD - it would have been only the worst case anyway.

The easiest thing is actually to use a free calculator, that's exactly how we solved it.

Your attitude is really terrible!!! A child is welcome and the dog will just have to go if the money then isn’t enough. We have two big dogs and two children and no one has ever thought of getting rid of our dogs. Our children cost significantly more than our dogs, in your calculation you don’t see any additional expenses for planned children, your food costs will very quickly double and clothes are not cheap either. That a dog who needs "special food" gets a great new owner is probably more wishful thinking.
