Are there indoor motion detectors that do not respond to animals?

My spontaneous answer would have been that it would work with Monty Python's parrot, as it no longer emits heat due to its condition ;-) Seriously, I find this approach

the most promising. Many dogs and cats are chipped nowadays and can therefore easily be set up as users to be ignored in the PLC. However, you would then also have to carry a chip card yourself, otherwise you might simply be ignored when accompanied by the cat ;-)

And when you come back with the dog from a walk in the dark at night, you just stand still in the dark?! Or do people get a transmitter then too? Sounds like a scenario with a lot of fun :D

There are motion detectors where the height can be adjusted.

Why don’t animals need light? Well, cats are not as blind as we are and don’t need light.
No 11ant they often don’t sleep at night, because, for example, cats are nocturnal.

Our (wall) motion detectors are set so that they do not detect the lower area and therefore do not react to our cat. With the dog, it might be a bit more difficult (depending on the size of the dog).

When would I have claimed that? Haha, when the cat jumps on the cupboard, the light turns on ;-)

Since I only get a tiny living unit with 60m² and just one PM, but almost unlimited programming possibilities with a large team behind it (1 intern, 10 students, and 2 professors), I could imagine a test. Only the "test subject" is missing, but that will also be solved in the future as a dog is moving into the neighboring living unit, which I have already been assigned to care for
