Socket planning: I have just done some research online and came across occasional statements like "Power strips count as one." You probably can't generalize that, but can someone tell me more about it? Thanks a lot for your tips. Best regards, Steffi

Normally, no n supply lines are run to the boxes, but only one, which is then distributed to the boxes. Therefore, you can't connect 10 boxes there and then operate a battery toaster ;).

Now I didn't think about 10 cans... But double or triple cans are common, right? So how do they count them?

I do not understand the question - regarding the installation I gave you an answer, but in terms of price you of course also have to pay for these sockets. There are providers who double/triple/ff the price according to the number of sockets, some then only charge a small surcharge.

But basically you only have to buy another socket plus frame/cover.

Well... then I'll explain my question... Our house builder gives us a standard specification.... e.g. 8 sockets in the kitchen. Am I allowed to take 8 double sockets now? And please don't answer that I should just call him... I will do that oooooften enough... There must be general rules for something like this.. I think. Best regards Steffi

You will have to call him - but basically I have given you the answer: YOU will get 8 singles, 4 doubles, 2 quadruples or can mix them in other colorful ways - but in total you will only get 8 sockets.

Unless he is different - that's why you will have to call him in the end anyway ;).

We have 15 plus power current for the cooktop - 8 of those are visible (so for daily use) - the rest for the electrical installations in the cabinets.
