Hello,

we have just received an offer for laminate. The laminate has the following usage classes.

Usage class 23/Usage class 32 For residential rooms with intensive use / for commercial rooms with moderate use.

So is this now okay for residential rooms? And can one rely on these usage classes?

Thank you very much W

Hello,

And how reliable are these usage classes? Is that a standard?

I'm not sure about that, but maybe something can be found with Google. Since most laminate manufacturers offer a 6 or 8-year warranty on abrasion resistance, the information should be trustworthy.

There is a standard: Euro standard EN 13329 Laminated flooring for private use is usually classified in classes 21, 22, 23, for private AND commercial use in classes 31, 32, or 33. The higher the class, the better the quality. Regarding the warranty: meanwhile, manufacturers also grant 10, 15, or 20 years warranty Additionally, I would pay attention to the thickness: In hardware stores, there is often thin material, where the click connection is usually very sensitive because it is delicate. If possible, I would choose at least 7-8 mm

OK, thanks for the tip, so at least 7mm. You definitely have to tell the BT beforehand so that they know how much clearance must remain under the doors and frames.
