Hello,
the interior plaster was applied in our house about 5 weeks ago. The screed was laid at the beginning of October. Heating has been on since last Saturday, and since then ventilation is done several times a day. The house is, of course, still damp. Now the exterior plastering is supposed to start in a week. My questions regarding this:
1) Can the exterior plastering begin even though the interior plaster and screed are not yet dry? My concern is that the brick will have no way to release its moisture either inward or outward and that defects may occur sooner or later. Is this fear justified? We are building with a Juwö Poroton S9.
2) Would it be more sensible to postpone the exterior plastering until next spring or should the application be risked this year? As I have researched, the exterior plaster should only be applied at >5°C. Does it already lead to poor results if it is only below 5°C at night and above 5°C during the day, or is it okay if it is colder at night?
Thank you very much in advance!
