Hello forum
I just wanted to quickly ask what experience you have had with the aluminum insulation films for underfloor heating. I have two alternatives:
- Cheap film with grid from the internet and
- Film with ribbon fabric from the installer, also with grid (costs almost twice as much as the one from the internet)
Basically: The film goes on 3 cm EPS. On top of that come 3mm wire meshes, on which the clips and finally the pipes are attached (so no "perforation" of the film). Therefore, the question for me is whether it is actually necessary to use film with ribbon fabric if the pipes are attached to the wire meshes. Furthermore, I would be interested to know how "sensitive" these cheap insulation films from the internet are. Do they tear with every careless step?
Best regards
