Hello everyone,
I am currently building a garden house (dimensions 4x4m). To get some light in, I could get 2 windows cheaply.
One (160x50cm) is originally intended as a transom window by design. For the other one (200x50cm), you can see from the position of the drainage slots that it is originally a floor-to-ceiling window or should be installed vertically.
Now to my question, are there any concerns about repurposing the latter window as a transom window, so that the drainage slots are on the side instead of the usual bottom? Are the drainage channels inside the window frame essentially continuous? If so, would it be possible to drill new drainage slots afterwards?
Best regards
