You are writing that and evading professionalism.

Regarding the OP's problem:
The idea of the replacement is, as already stated, sensible in my opinion, but might not be sufficient. Additional measures could become necessary. There were plenty of tips about this – my remark merely supplemented this list. That is a "can," by no means a "must."

I leave the ventilation off when no one is at home.....
Or regulate it according to the time program.

So it is usually 40-60% in the rooms.

Maybe something from practical experience: I retrofitted an enthalpy heat exchanger and am very satisfied. Previously very dry air, afterwards consistently pleasant. Ventilation system runs 24x7. Otherwise only drying laundry and a few plants in the house, no humidifier. So a clear increase in comfort, and the thing has now been holding up well for about 9 years.
