Air-to-air heat pump, yet radiators?

Hi,

I have a house (Holzrahmenkonstruktion) in mind - built in 2011 - with a fresh air heating system (air-to-air heat pump + photovoltaic), as well as a wood stove. My expertise in this area is not very extensive, so I am surprised that there is still an, presumably retrofitted?, electric heater in the bathroom. Does this indicate any problem or is it quite normal?

Could it be that the radiator is electric with a heating cartridge?

Electric towel radiators in the bathroom are nothing unusual. I would generally be more concerned about the heating option, as an air-to-air heat pump is usually not efficient and therefore also expensive. Or is it a [Passive House]?

I haven’t been on site yet, I only saw the offer just now and wanted to read up on the information in advance.



- Wooden frame construction with thermal insulation composite system

- Air-to-air heat pump; fresh air heating (radiators in bathroom and toilet; complete air exchange every two hours, filtered)

- Hot water storage tank 295 liters

- Photovoltaic system (power output 7.35 kWp + feed-in contract)

- Water softening system

- Cistern 4,000 liters (garden irrigation)

The costs of the heat pump are supposed to be around €100. They are relying completely on electricity regarding energy supply... which certainly won’t be cheap in the long run?

As said, have them show you the electricity bill, everything else is speculative.
