Radon is still a keyword to consider. Likewise, flooding that can quickly penetrate there.

We only have the supply air (plus exhaust air from the central vacuum cleaner) for the chimney in such a ventilation shaft - which currently often fills up during rain because there is no gravel bed underneath yet. This is not a real problem, but the situation on the property also needs to be looked at.

The supply air opening should actually be 1 to 1.5 meters above ground level. However, I do not know where this is regulated.

I also thought about the weather. How is it in winter during snowfall?

We are not really in a radon area, but to be safe I will ask again.

I think I have also heard about the 1 - 1.5 meters, but I haven’t found anything about it.

In DIN 1946-6:2009-05 it states under section "9.2.6 Increased requirements for indoor air quality (hygiene)"

If I have understood correctly on your part, both principles are violated (ground level, short circuit). Regardless of whether "increased requirements" are required, I would not accept this arrangement of the supply air.

Ok.. Thanks. And this DIN standard must be complied with?

According to the site manager, the service ends at the wall penetration, but he can offer me a light well like that.

Should I lead the supply air 2-3 meters away from the house and build a tower there at about 1m height?

How is it then with the condensate? A slight slope towards the house, and a drain with a siphon there?

Only if agreed.

In that case, I would do it as you described - also with a slight slope and siphon. It's best to make it longer, then you have a slight cooling/heating effect at the intake depending on the season.
