Hello everyone,

I want to build a single-family house in city villa style with 165m2.
I want a monolithic wall structure with a wall thickness of at least 40cm because I do not want additional insulation.

Which stone is better, aerated concrete or Poroton?

What are the advantages and disadvantages?
Which stone can you recommend?
Costs?
Thermal insulation?

Thank you, regards Alex

Purely for the Energy Saving Ordinance, 36.5 cm is enough. Otherwise, the two candidates are evenly matched. Choose the one you can build cheaper. That will be decided by the region. For KFW, Poroton is better because it is available filled. But it has its price, an ETICS facade is significantly more economical to produce.

both poor in sound insulation. I would take a good look at the surroundings.

There is no absolute philosopher's stone, but at your construction site "BY," aerated concrete will relatively be the stone that significantly fewer local builders handle well. No stone is better than the experience of its applicator, whom you should therefore not try to "re-educate." By the way, there are quite a few other stones (pumice, expanded clay, sand-lime brick, etc.) – for all of them, I validly see that stone and applicator should "fit together." This also applies to your desired construction method: a builder who also does ETICS is unproblematic – but one who almost always does ETICS, you better not take.

I don’t understand. What does that have to do with KFW?
Both variants are available with the same insulation values. Both can be built with 36.5cm up to KFW 40 (whether it’s worth it is another matter).

If you live by the highway or next to the railway line, that might play a role. If you live in a more or less "normal" residential area, in my opinion, it is not so relevant, especially not at 40cm. The problem is more with windows, roller shutter boxes, etc.
By the way, purely according to sound insulation values, both candidates are pretty much the same. However, if sound is an important factor, there are other solutions, but rather not monolithic ones.

There are many half-truths about both. Mine would be that I wouldn’t take an unfilled Poroton. Take a look at the pictures on the manufacturers’ sites. The webs are really very thin. Some call them crumbly cookies.

If it has to be monolithic and these two are the options, I would, as already written here, choose the one the structural shell builder is more familiar with. Then let the price decide.
Everything else would be rather secondary to me.
