Hello everyone,
we have just bought a new-build apartment, and since the non-load-bearing walls have not yet been built, we decided to make a small change.
I would be grateful if you could briefly assess this additional offer,
originally a normal passage was planned and at this point we want to provide a sliding door that disappears into the masonry.
Here are the additional costs from the main contractor:
1. Delivery and installation of concrete lintel (11.5x11.5x250cm) + masonry work: €338
2. Sliding door unit for an opening of 90cm: €910
3. Embedding the sliding door unit, double plasterboard on both sides + plastering work: €498
4. Sliding door: €395
Prices are without VAT. I find especially the price for the lintel and the plasterboard very high..
Is it generally possible to negotiate such offers or do you think the price is justified?
Many thanks
