Thank you all very much for the quick responses.

In total, we have stated €6,000 as personal contribution. €2,000 each for painting work, paving and garden, and drywall construction (insulation wool under the roof).

I am just afraid that if we help out on the construction site every day now, the fees of the individual trades will correspondingly decrease and we might not need the full amount of money afterwards. That there could somehow be problems then.

Insurance coverage is an important aspect, thank you for the hint.

What would happen then? Then there would be money left over, so what. Either you do something else with it or put it in a [Tagesgeldkonto] to cover interest and repayment, as long as it suffices.

Building and there's money left over - I love dry humor.

For some things written here, I really have to shake my head. Why shouldn’t the OP help with as many trades as possible or even do them completely by themselves?

When I have time, I’ll write down for you all the trades we (partner + I and our construction helpers) have helped with. Just so you know in advance: so far, there hasn’t been a single trade where we haven’t helped.

By the way, we are not trained craftsmen, but 95% of the things that need to be done can be done by almost anyone after a short explanation.

I agree with all of you, the ban advisor said I am only allowed to have "just" €15,000 left afterwards. Which means I do not have to withdraw or show through invoices. €15,000 is certainly a lot for own work, but I have now obtained several quotes for almost 70% of the trades and am already €8,000 below the calculated amount from the architect. I do not know exactly what happens if I spend less money than these €15,000.

You can easily use the money for the outdoor facilities. And, have you already selected the samples for the bathroom?
