Do you have your current account with ING? That would bring an additional 0.1% interest discount or is that already taken into account?

Yes, we actually do and it is already included in the 1.75%, but thanks nonetheless for the note.

Exemplary research and presented here with well-founded information. Many who make their first post here could learn a thing or two from this.

Take the full repayment loan. Although we financed over 20 years with special repayments, a clearly defined rate that you must pay does not tempt you to skip special repayments, if you know what I mean. I can, but you must. A slight pressure is always an advantage in such cases.

I would keep childcare costs as expenses. Because small children mean small costs, big children mean big costs. This is offset again by school supplies, class trips, clothes, etc.

I do not expect any significant savings from this, but currently we pay over €500 per month for a kindergarten place. Small kids need clothes just like big ones, plus strollers, car seats, etc. I expect roughly the same expenses in Sunme, certainly not significantly higher.

Regarding the status of the matter: When we finally decided, the 20-year full repayment loan dropped again by 0.1 to 1.67%. The credit check has already been successfully completed, now the house appraisal is taking place and we should hear shortly whether it can get started.
