Hello dear experts,

we have purchased the [Grunstueck] and are now planning the construction of our 2 [FMH].
The house should have an apartment in the almost exposed basement and above that a large apartment on 2 or 3 floors. The basement is only dark on the street side. We want to achieve at least [Kfw 70], possibly also [KFW 55]. Now there are many alternatives to consider, but currently I am wondering which stone is the right one. According to my research, only a perlite-filled Poroton brick or a Ks with Wvs remain. What would you advise me?
I have the impression that the monolithic structure is better, but I am worried that I won’t be able to hammer a nail into the wall afterwards. And what about the price differences?

Thanks in advance, Sportiv

Hello,

This "Jehovah" topic has already been discussed here several times; try using the search function and you will get plenty of input.

Basically, when building a two-family house, stronger sound insulation must be observed than in single-family house construction, and an ETICS does not necessarily have to be made of Styrodur; perlite-filled hollow bricks have advantages and disadvantages just like any other brick. No one can advise you here, because the choice of brick strongly depends on personal preferences. I can at most tell you how we solve such questions when monolithic construction is basically desired.

We are currently building a two-family house in the Neuß district, the outer shell is made of 36.5 cm aerated concrete and all interior walls are made of KS (thickness according to static requirement); the builders deliberately forego an ETICS.

Kind regards

Hello construction expert,

I have already searched here, but it is difficult. Obviously, it is also a matter of taste. I do not want Ytongg. I like Poroton with perlite best. I wonder which stone is recommended here. Somehow, the better insulating stones are said to have disadvantages as well. Is it advisable to stick with a T9? Or is a T7 better after all? What are the price differences, actually?

Best regards,
