Yellowing of the lawn (Cause investigation: lawn mower, fertilizer, ...)

my previously very green/dense lawn has been increasingly streaked with yellowing for a week now (see pictures). I wanted to hear your opinion on the cause. In my opinion, it could be due to the following points:

1. Lawn mower (however, the blade was only sharpened recently)

2. Fertilizer (the last fertilization was two months ago with a 3-month slow-release fertilizer)

3. Lack of water (however, we had a lot of rainfall in the past few days)

As you can see, I cannot quite determine what the cause might be and hope you can help.

Hello Jörg, I have similar problems. In my case, it's the combination of intense sunlight and dryness. It has been very windy the past few days, and that extracts an extreme amount of water from the soil.

If it starts at the tips, a dull lawn mower can also be the cause.

Of course, first rule out the watering behavior.

Same problem here. My suspicion: lawn mowed too short and not with sharp blades. It could also be that at the time of the [Düngers] too little water was applied.

Another issue is that at this time of year the [Rispengras] is blooming, which makes the lawn very scruffy and unattractive. However, this is normal.

I think you should stay relaxed and in 4 weeks it will look better again. I would water thoroughly once a week for 1 - 1.5 hours.

That looks like a lack of water and not dull knives.
Lawn requires about 15-20 liters of water per m2 per week during dryness.

Water shortage would not only turn the tip brown.
