In the last silicone joint sealant test I read, there were significant differences in the shrinkage of the material among the products. At one centimeter, this can be very noticeable.

I now plan to glue an 8mm worktop there.

On top will be a 4mm glass wall and a 6mm silicone joint. That will look good.

Does anyone have another idea for the sides? Maybe just an L-profile so nothing can flow under the plate?

I imagine cutting 8mm is tricky. Just put on the [Wandabschlussleiste] and that’s it?

I have to ask a really stupid question.... can't you move everything 1 cm to the left? So also the cabinets under the top, 1 cm too much to the right next to the tall cabinet wouldn't be a problem...

The wall trim would only be on the sides, because I have to install a recessed socket on the front surface. For that, I then lack the space for a trim. Well, we'll see. Everything is not so easy. Only having trim on the sides and none on the front certainly doesn't look that good.

Is all this already in place? A photo would be helpful. Or a planner image.
