Hello and a quick question:
Is a contract for work with a prefab house company individually tailored to a customer or does every customer at a prefab house company receive the same contract?
Can the contract be viewed in advance?
Thank you

In Germany, freedom of contract applies. Anything can be included that you and the construction contractor want. And no, before you sign a contract, you really shouldn't look at/read through it. The surprise comes afterwards. Maybe you will have taken on a 100,000 euro loan. Really. How can someone ask such questions? Someone wants to build a house and asks if you should read contracts before signing them. All you can do is wish a lot of luck with the construction.

I think you misunderstood: It's exactly about the fact that the OP wants to look at such a contract beforehand.

The first point of reference is always the T&Cs and the construction service descriptions.

It is conventional all-purpose detergent. There may be companies that write individual additional agreements into the contracts. But that doesn't help you if Müller Prefab House does that and Maier Prefab House doesn't, and you are building with the latter. So ask your representative about it. Basically, I would assume that a large company tries to avoid that as much as possible, because every additional agreement then has to be reviewed by the legal department.

The other way around: if a company is not willing to send you the contract with sufficient lead time for review, you can go directly to number two on your list.

Thank you for the information.
So you don’t need to have the contract checked separately (if it is fixed anyway).
Of course, I will want to read it in advance. That’s why I asked about it!

Even if the content is fixed, there is nothing against having the contract reviewed....especially if one doesn’t understand such things.
