hello,
we would like to lay a country house oak plank floor on our warm water low-temperature underfloor heating. This is operated with a ground source heat pump. The company carlos hahn confirms, for example, that their planks are suitable for warm water low-temperature underfloor heating.

Can I lay the solid wood planks without any problems, or are there disadvantages such as higher energy consumption, wood creaking, etc?

Hello "SebZet". Your question is unclear! If the manufacturer of the floorboards confirms that these floorboards are also suitable under the condition of a low-temperature underfloor heating system, then I ask myself: who else should give a more binding statement than the manufacturer themselves? ---------------- Klaus

hello Klaus, I am asking because our builder strongly advises against it, as wooden floorboards insulate too much and the geothermal heating would have to work too hard. I also received this statement from some wood specialists and now fear that the manufacturer just wants to sell. I would prefer a statement about the additional heating demand compared to vinyl floors?

Please request from the manufacturer a product data sheet showing that these very solid wood planks advertised by him are suitable for a low-temperature underfloor heating system.
The product data sheet is then binding - and legally secure if it should not work.
A builder usually does not have an overview of individual material properties. The manufacturer of the corresponding product does!
And: he is then liable.
