You do not pay the 2%, but the taxable income increases by 2% of the [Wohnförderkonto].

To be able to assess Riester, I need precisely that knowledge. What triggers the allocations on the [Wohnförderkonto]? Only when claimed through the corresponding income tax return?

As I understand it, the [Entnahme von angespartem Kapital] for property purchase opens the [Wohnförderkonto]. It has nothing to do with the income tax return. Of course, one can forgo allowances, and one does not need to declare their contributions in the tax return... but then Riester is completely pointless.

I don't necessarily want to do Riester, or if so, correspondingly little or according to my choice, if possible. Only the conditions of the total financing are significantly better with Riester than, let's say, with simple annuity loans. In the meantime, I have had financing discussions with 3 institutions.
