Dear forum!
We are considering renovating a beautiful villa from the 1940s. We are thinking more of a "complete renovation" – so everything new. Not because the condition is so bad – *but logically, from heating to windows to insulation, nothing is "state of the art" anymore. And instead of small rooms, we are more thinking of wall openings and a tasteful style mix of "historic flair" and "design."
– Is such a basic renovation with a significant change in room layouts feasible and reasonably economical to carry out? What dimensions should one expect here?
– Who might already have experience with a similar project?
– Who might have a tip for trustworthy architects/surveyors/construction companies that could carry out such a complete renovation with a lot of experience, competence, and attention to detail?
Many thanks for any feedback!
