Windows in new buildings: triple glazing with a green tint?

Hello dear forum,

I have a question for all home builders!
We have had the windows installed for a few days now and were very happy about it. Unfortunately, we are now a bit disappointed because the window panes generally have a greenish tint. Unfortunately, we never talked to the window installer about the glass, as we never thought that window glass might not be completely transparent.
Apparently, we got "thermal glass" with a coating. We don't like the green at all; it makes everything look hazy and makes us look "sick" ourselves... :-( It feels like we have the glass of a light pair of sunglasses as a window instead of "real" windows!

How is it with your windows?
Is it normal for triple glazing to have some kind of color tint?

Do you think it only bothers now, and when everything inside is painted white, it won't be as noticeable?

Many sunny greetings!

So our triple-glazed windows definitely do not have any color tint. And I also definitely want to see the correct colors when I look outside. Have you talked to your window installer about this or checked your offer to see if something relevant is included there?

Hmm... We have meanwhile spoken with many people, some say it is normal glass, but depending on the manufacturer and production it contains more iron oxide, which makes the panes appear more greenish.

The offer does not mention anything about the glass except triple glazing and warm edge (and the U-value). And we have already spoken with the window installer, he said he has always used this glass and so far he has never had any complaints.

Do your windows also reflect like this from the outside? And did you specifically order "white glass"?

With us, nothing reflects and our glass has no green tint. We ordered, just like you, triple glazed with U-value. ...

Strange thing your greenish tint...

Our windows are also triple-glazed but have no color tint at all.

As you can see in my avatar, however, they do have a certain mirror effect from the outside, which I do not find disturbing...

Hmm. Well, I also find it very strange...

On Thursday it will be exciting, the window maker and the window supplier are coming to look at the windows. Let's see what comes of it...

I'm not sure if we just got a bad batch, if that's normal for triple glazing, or if the glass quality is just generally that different...
