Hi,
thanks for the answers, considering the weight of the panes separate delivery also makes sense!

One more thing, can someone tell me what kind of window construction this is? Actually, we don’t have laminated safety glass (VSG) in the windows (only the RC2N fittings) but this looks like double panes inside and outside? That can’t be, can it?

There should be all sorts of text printed on the frame, have a look and see if you can recognize anything.

Do you have floor-to-ceiling windows with a fixed bottom part?

Hi,

*Headbutt*

Yup, you're right, we have that in two places. Then it must be one pane for that. I hadn't thought of that anymore.

Best regards,

Andreas

With us, the panes also came individually. Since the frames are only miter-cut profiles, someone with practice and the right tools (some kind of angle bracket, the surface? welding device, etc...) can assemble the windows on the construction site. The advantage is, of course, that individual profile pieces can be replaced if defective. Just cut new ones.

No, that does not exist. In my many years in the industry, I have only seen/done this once with aluminum elements because the elements were too large for transport and therefore had to be assembled on site. With PVC windows, whose corners are welded and plastered, this does not happen.

As a rule, the panes are transported separately for fixed glazing and large elements. For fixed glazing, because the panes have to be glazed anyway during the frame installation, and for large elements due to the high weight and the resulting difficult handling during installation.

Some window manufacturers transport the panes separately because they expect handling advantages during installation. That is a matter of belief. The vast majority of window manufacturers do not do this.
