Hi,

a really stupid question: Were the window panes delivered to you without frames and only installed into the frames on site?

I was at the construction site for the last time on Tuesday evening and there was already a shipment of window panes (like really just the triple panes, without frames!).
I was a bit surprised. As far as I know, the complete windows usually come with frames?!?

Best regards,

Andreas

With us, they are delivered completely. However, this should not be a problem for the window maker.

Also separated... I think both are normal.

Ok, thanks, learned something new today...

slightly puzzled greetings,

If the window or door frames exceed a certain weight, the frames and glass are delivered separately, as otherwise installation would only be possible with lifting equipment. A 3-pane WS glass weighs approximately 30 kg/m2.

Also with us, delivery and installation are separate, and installation is only done on-site (but it’s not a big effort, it just has to be done properly).
