The new Novy compact has an installation height of 19.5 cm with motor and flat duct

The Quadra needs 14.1 cm - the beams are 23 cm thick, about 5 cm of which should remain visible - fits! In the meantime, I have seen and heard such a ceiling hood in operation. It was not the "selected" model, but the configuration was similar (ceiling height, exhaust duct, external motor in the adjoining room). I am quite impressed! I think the decision for a ceiling hood is clear now. I haven't really been able to read any bad experiences online either.

But that doesn’t work at the height of 14.1 cm. There still has to be room for the exhaust duct coming out of the housing. The Novy Compact would be more suitable there. Make a precise plan.

OOPS ... correction .. the hood lets a flat duct run out directly .. ok, then that fits, you just need a good external motor and I recommend considering supply air.

The motor is relatively strong, should be fine. Considering supply air? That is being done right now ;o) Thanks for the prompt!
(since two window contacts will also be connected, as a chimney connection/stove will also be installed in the kitchen)
((the planning used to be easier... you just found yourself a nice cave and that was it!))

I have the Novy ceiling hood, and without supply air it is really not good. Back then (over 8 years ago) I did not plan for it. Today I would do it. The supply air should also come from above. Because the exhaust capacity of the extractor hood is tremendous, and an open window in winter often results in drafts in the house.

Thanks for the tip! Fresh air supply is actually not a problem at all, one core drilling more or less is not noticeable
