So, after two nerve-wracking days and numerous product purchases, failed attempts, outbursts of anger, and tears, a local window cleaner gave me a [Schmutzradierer] and it worked. I hope the tip helps others too. Because no one really needs days like that, when you truly believe all the new windows are ruined.

One more note: Handle the [Schmutzradierer] with care, as it can leave scratches.
